Foundations Workshop

Awaken with clear, rooted guidance
From the very first inhale, you’ll be met with precision: gentle, direct, anatomically informed directives that illuminate the intricacies of each pose and transition. Throughout my 25‑year journey—from my first class at 19 to over 1,000 hours of teacher training—I've developed a teaching style that cues from embodiment and a sensation-based practice.

Expand in body, mind & spirit
This isn’t just alignment; it’s an invitation to explore your limits and doorways. You’ll be encouraged to find your edges and lean into them softly, without judgment or performance. Along the way, we’ll celebrate every moment of connection, every cellular “ah‑ha,” and every small shift into something new. I hope you leave with a fresh experience of even the most basic postures.

Inclusive. Intersectional. Fiercely compassionate.
This space is for every body. Regardless of shape, ability, or experience, you’ll be seen, welcomed, and celebrated. The goal is not to arrive at some picture-perfect, cookie-cutter expression of asana. The goal is to connect each node of practice along the way, over time, creating a unique web of your own personal expression of yoga.

What to expect:

  • Clear anatomical cues to support healthy alignment and sustainable, somatic learning.

  • Vinyasa‑style flow, designed to awaken what is meant for you and shed what is not.

  • Celebratory pauses, space for questions and curiosity, honoring every luminous shift in awareness.

  • Invitation to vulnerability, weaving edges and uncertainty into courageous growth.

Why come?

Because foundations aren’t just a starting place—they’re a sacred invitation. To wake up to your body. To remember that your breath is the bridge between sensation and practice. To shed assumptions about what a "good" practice looks like. To feel your way through each posture and transition until it becomes a natural, fluid, organic movement adjusted to your own body. To stretch past what you have accepted as your limits. To connect deeply—with yourself, with others, and with the spirit that pulses through asana.

Join me at Sole to Soul Yoga in Albany on Saturday, July 19th, and leave with more than technique—you’ll carry forward embodied confidence, soulful clarity, and a deeper reverence for the tender magic of your own unfolding.
